Creature of the Week: The White Spikes

An alien bioweapon that is unmatched by anything on Earth. The White Spikes are properly named, with their skin and armor appearing as white and their tail/tentacles launching spikes at high speeds. It is revealed in The Tomorrow War that these creatures were aboard a ship that crash landed in North Russia and was trapped in ice. They stayed dormant for thousands of years before they woken in 2048. They don’t look pretty, but their habits are even worse. They first appeared in 2048, however by 2051, they had destroyed most of humanity, dwindling the numbers below 500,000 worldwide. The remaining humans did everything in their power to fight back, only to have their world taken over. It’s no surprise that they took over so quickly. These creatures are savage and relentless. They will track down their prey over a large distance to complete the kill. That's if they don't just fire their spikes, which kill instantly if they hit vital organs. They have a unsatisfied hunger that drives their aggression, making them even more dangerous, since they could wipe out an entire city, and still feel the need to kill more. In addition, they have high breeding rates to quickly replace any soldiers they lost in a fight. There are also multiple subspecies with their own assigned jobs, like bees. And like bees, they have a queen that they will sacrifice themselves in ruthless attacks to ensure her safety and survival. Overall, it's safe to say, if you would happen to stumble across one of these, you're already dead. The drones can move from 40-80 mph, closing in large distances like nothing. Oh, you have a gun to protect yourself? Then you better have a good aim. Their tentacles and underbellies are weak, but you will most likely hit their heavily armored head and backs. Don't think their armor will slow them down. It was made to be light and very strong, even being dubbed as bulletproof. Whoever designed and bred these knew what they wanted in a weapon. White Spikes are deadly machines that have no remorse and could only be defeated by going back in time before they thawed out.
